Rimmel London 60 Seconds - 503 Mind the gap, Victoria

I have been wanting a baby blue nail varnish for ages, but never got round to actually buying one; until now! I was browsing through the makeup stands in Superdrug the other day , as I do on a regular basis, and out of the corner of my eye spotted this beauty. I didn't want a blue that was too pale that it made my skin look even paler than it usually does and I didn't want a blue that was too dark, so this was right up my street! I applied two coats as it was quite opaque after only one, but it dried so quickly! I have had many of the Rimmel 60 Seconds range in the past, but this one by far is my favourite! It is super shiny and a great colour to go into spring!

Have you tried this nail varnish? Let me know in the comments below. What is your favourite colour nail varnish? What's your favourite brand?

It's All About The Orange!

Hi everyone!

This is just a quick post about two lipsticks that I'm loving at the minute. Orange lipsticks are really in for this Spring and Summer and these are two that I have been using quite a lot and will be taking into the Spring and Summer with me! The first one is Rimmel London - 16 Kate, which is coral colour with a pink undertone and the second one is Rimmel London - 214 Firecracker, which is a red toned orange. Both colours are ideal for Spring and Summer and brighten up any makeup look!

Let me know if you have tried either of these lipsticks and what you think! Can you recommend and good orange toned lipsticks for me to try?

Review | NYX Blush

Hi everyone!

Well I'd been wanting a new blush for quite a while, but really wasn't sure what brand to go for! I'd heard a lot of good things and read a lot of great reviews about the NYX blusher's and when I realised that Next now stock the NYX range, I thought I would treat myself and see if they really are as good as they sound; and I certainly wasn't disappointed! I bought the blush in the shade 06 Peach, although it I wouldn't say it is a peach colour at all, it is more of a soft pink which adds a natural flushed glow to your cheeks. It is a soft, matte finish blush, with no glitter, which I absolutely love about it! It is not a highly pigmented blush but I really like that about this product, as you can build it up as you want.

I have used this product every day since purchasing it, and would highly recommend it to everyone! Let me know if you have tried this product and what you think of it? Have you got any different blusher's that you can recommend for me to try? Let me know in the comments below.

Take a Look Inside...

Hi everyone!

Well I wasn't really sure what to do for this post at all. I have quite a few ideas for upcoming posts, but need to take the time to do some planning and picture taking (which I haven't had chance to do yet). Anyway... after having a quick think, I decided I would show you all some snaps of my room! If you're nosey like me, then I'm sure this will be right up your street. I absolutely love getting inspiration from other people's pictures for my room and I hope this post can give you some inspiration (and if not, then enjoy being nosey, aha!).

I hope you enjoyed this post! If you would like to know where any of the items in my room are from, please leave any comments or questions below! Also, please go and follow me on Bloglovin, it would be much appreciated!

Fashion Haul

Hey everyone!

So, over these past couple of weeks, I have gone a little crazy and splurged out on quite a few items! There were some things which I had had my eye on for quite a while, so finally decided to just purchase them; but along the way, kind of found some other things to buy too (naughty me!). I thought I would just share with you what I have bought, so here goes...

Primark

Black Skort - £10.00

Black and White Spotty Blouse - £10.00

Pink Blouse - £8.00

Cream Scarf - £4.00

Black Jelly Sandals - £4.00
New Look

Pink Textured Boxy Top - £12.99

Stripe Boxy Jersey Top - £9.99

Coral Sandals - £7.99

Next

Grey Jeggings - £22

Black Spotty Vest Top - £6.50

Grey Metal Hobo Bag - £34.00

So those are the items that I recently purchased and I absolutely love them all! They're all so easy to wear and I'm a little obsessed with black, white and baby pink at the minute (as you can probably tell). These items are ideal for going into spring and both pairs of shoes will be put away for the summer; I think it's a little too cold for them at the minute, but I just couldn't resist buying them!

Let me know what you think of the items above and which ones you would buy!

NOTD #1

Rimmel London Salon PRO - 402 Urban Purple

Well I absolutely love this shade of nail polish and I'm obsessed with Rimmel, so this is perfect for me. It is the ideal shade to add a pop of colour to any outfit; it's not too 'in your face' bright, but one that people still notice and say 'ooo, I like your nails'! It also helps add a touch of colour to brighten up these dull and miserable days which we are having at the minute! Rimmel nail polishes are amazing; this one in particular is super opaque (although I do always apply a second coat) and can be applied to the nails in just two strokes. It also drys super quick, which is a MUST for me as I am the most impatient person ever when it comes to letting my nail polish dry!! I would definitely recommend you go out and buy this product; you will not be disappointed!

Please let me know what you think of this nail polish in the comments below and if you have used this product, let me know what you think! Also, can you recommend any different nail polishes for me to try?

January Favourites

Hi everyone!

So the month of January flew by so fast, that I can't believe it's nearly the middle of February already! January was a particularly good month for me as it was my birthday; so I got to splash out on a few things that I'd had my eye on for quite a while, that I wouldn't normally just go out and spend my money on, haha!

This post is going to consist of the things I've been loving throughout the month of January in Beauty and Fashion.

Beauty

Mac Mineralize Skinfinish - Soft and Gentle

Well I don't know where to start with this product; I absolutely love it!! I had seen a lot of people rave about this product and wasn't sure if it would be as good as it sounded, but it was completely worth the money! I have used this product every day since purchasing it and would highly recommend that you go out and buy one, because you certainly won't regret it! It is an amazing highlighter which personally I use on my cheekbones,  brow bone, the bridge of my nose and cupid's bow to give my face a healthy glow.

Benefit - Porefessional Primer

This is another product that I'd been wanting to try for quite a while and with my birthday money, caved and bought it! In my opinion, it is the perfect primer, which leaves the skin silky smooth, minimizing the appearance of pores, giving the perfect base for applying foundation. At £24.50 at tube, it is quite steep, but a little does go a long way as you only need a little bit on your fingertip to cover your face with a thin layer; so in that aspect it is definitely worth the money!

Mac Lipstick - Snob

Well I am obsessed with MAC lipsticks and this one is by far my favourite! The previous one which I used constantly was Saint Germain, however when I purchased this one, it soon took place as my new favourite! It is a gorgeous pink colour with a slight purple undertone. It is one of the satin finish lipsticks and has quite a thick finish when applied to the lips, which I absolutely love, as it is long-lasting and doesn't have to constantly be reapplied.

Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss - Bellini

Now this was something that I'd noticed only recently, but heard quite a few people talk about. It is a super shiny lipgloss, without being sticky or glittery. It is the perfect nude shade and looks perfect either on its own or over the top of a lipstick, if you want to slightly tone down the colour.

Fashion
Topshop - Green Check Tube Skirt

This was definitely an impulse buy for me, as I loved the pattern but wasn't sure how it would look on, but I absolutely love it! I have worn it so much since buying it, with a jumper or blouse and ankle boots and now I want to buy the leggings in the same pattern; they have got to be my next purchase!

Tu - Coatigan

I had been searching for a baby pink coat/cardigan since before Christmas, but wasn't really willing to pay Topshop prices, because I wasn't sure how much I would wear one! Then I stumbled across this beauty whilst shopping in Sainsburys in the sale section and I just couldn't leave it behind, and who would for £12.50?! It is so chunky and soft and looks great with any outfit; it can be dressed up or down so is great for all occasions!

G21 - Lime Blouse

The thing that instantly drew me to this blouse was the colour! I love this lime shade, it is such a gorgeous colour for spring. The material of this blouse is very floaty and it is slightly longer at the back. I pair it with my black leather look leggings and a chunky necklace to add even more depth to the outfit!

Tu - Ankle Boots

I own three pairs of black ankle boots and have wanted a brown pair for ages, but haven't been able to find the right pair for me; but whilst in Sainsburys buying the coatigan, I spotted these beauties! They are brown, which I wanted and flat which I wanted, so for £20 I couldn't resist! They are so comfy and look great with any outfit!

River Island - Lime Colour Block Metal Trim Tote Bag

And finally, probably my favourite fashion purchase of January, this lime coloured tote! This bag caught my eye as soon as I saw it, so with gift voucher in hand, I took it straight to the till and purchased it! I love the style of this bag with the use of three bold colours: lime, black and white and gold hardware, it is a great statement piece for spring and summer and I cant wait to use it when the weather starts to perk up!

So those were my January Favourites! I hope you enjoyed this post and can maybe get some ideas of what you'd like to purchase. Let me know what your January Favourites were in the comments below and if you have any of the products in this post, what do you think of them?
